Each of us comes into the world as a unique creation, worthy of being valued and loved.

Welcome

You may be wondering, as you’re searching the web for Ventura psychotherapy, what is “therapy?” It is my belief that therapy is a process of affirming who we are and who we were created to be.

I do not label behaviors as “crazy,” but seek to understand the purpose those behaviors have served, so that we may work to find better and more effective ways for you to take care of yourself.

In psychotherapy, we will work together to find solutions to your problems, whether they be anxiety, depression, or problems in a relationship. There is no shame in not knowing the answers. We’ll discover them together, and you will be given the tools for change. The effectiveness of your individual or group therapy is always up to you.

Your health and healing are my primary goals of treatment in psychotherapy and counseling. Together we will create a safe place for you, and in feeling safe, you will be able to explore and cleanse painful areas of your life.  Here, in my Ventura, California office, you will experience a realm of security and restoration.

I am committed to these beliefs when I am working with individuals, couples and/or families.

For your mental and emotional health, I am here to walk you through to freedom.  Let's talk about that journey; I can help you by the means of psychotherapy, family counseling, marriage counseling, relationship counseling, individual therapy, or coaching.  Where else in Ventura County can you find what you’re seeking?

I am Christina (Chris) Bjornstedt, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, and I can help.
